The APLA 2022 Committee invites proposals to be considered for presentation at the 2022 virtual annual conference

Bridging the Gap: Inclusion & Diversity in Libraries

Réduire les barrières: l’inclusion et la diversité dans les bibliothèques

Join us virtually from Tuesday, June 7th – Friday June 10th, 2022 to learn, engage and celebrate diversity and inclusion within our libraries!

APLA (the Atlantic Provinces Library Association) represents libraries, librarians and library technicians across the region, all of whom sit on the unceded and traditional territories of First Peoples. In Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia, we find our friends and colleagues situated on the territory of the Mi’kmaq. In New Brunswick, libraries are found on the land of the Wəlastəkwiyik, Mi’kmaq, and Passamaquoddy Peoples. In Newfoundland and Labrador, our libraries sit on the homelands of the Inuit of Nunatsiavut and NunatuKavut, the Innu of Nitassinan, the Beothuk and the Mi’kmaq peoples. We at APLA wish to express our sincerest gratitude to the First Peoples who share their ancestral homelands with us all
